Public Park Cleanup – Volunteers Needed!

For many years, a small group of dedicated Freeland residents has volunteered their time to prepare Front Street Public Park for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony, held each year at 11:00 AM on November 11.

This year, the Borough is asking for additional volunteers to come out and lend a hand to this hardworking group as they get the park ready to honor our veterans.

Cleanup times are scheduled for:

• Monday, November 10 – 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Tuesday, November 11 – 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (finishing just before the ceremony)

We have plenty of rakes available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves if they have them.

Children are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.

Snacks and bottled water will be provided to all volunteers.

Let’s come together as a community to show our gratitude and respect for the veterans who have served our nation.
